Legal Challenges

Unfortunately not everybody wants the reforms that were passed April 2004 put into effect. In particular, attorneys that represent workers (and earn contingencies based on permanent disability awards) have mounted a full-scale assault on reforms, including lawsuits aimed at blocking reforms from taking effect. This page will document the legal challenges being filed by the California Applicants' Attorneys Association (CAAA) in an effort to perpetuate the conflict, uncertainty and subjectivity of the system.
